The aim of this research is to examine student acceptance and use of virtual reality technologies in medical education. Within the scope of the research, a questionnaire consisting of 4 sub-dimensions and 21 items was developed by the researchers. This questionnaire consists of sub-dimensions of performance expectancy, effort expectancy, facilitating conditions, and social influence. The study was conducted on 421 university students who participated in courses and activities related to the use of virtual reality applications in medical education. The findings of the research demonstrated that the students’ acceptance and use of virtual reality applications were high in medical education. Various suggestions were made for researchers and educators in accordance with the findings.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of using digital storytelling on motivation and learning strategies in foreign language teaching. This study was conducted with 20 students enrolled in the preparatory class to learn English as a foreign language for a year in 2018-2019 academic year in a state university in Turkey. Motivation scale and learning strategies scale were used to obtain data. According to the result, there was no significant distinction between digital storytelling and the use of learning strategies in foreign language teaching. This study indicates that the use of digital storytelling in foreign language teaching had no effect on the development of students’ use of learning strategies.

Araştırma kapsamında araştırmacılar tarafından 4 alt boyut ve 21 maddeden oluşan bir anket geliştirilmiştir. Bu anket, ‘Performans Beklentisi’, ‘Çaba Beklentisi’, ‘Kolaylaştırıcı Koşullar’ ve ‘Sosyal Etki’ alt boyutlarından oluşmaktadır. Araştırma, tıp eğitiminde sanal gerçeklik uygulamalarının kullanımı ile ilgili kurs ve etkinliklere katılan 421 üniversite öğrencisi üzerinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın bulguları öğrencilerin sanal gerçeklik uygulamalarını kabul etmelerinin ve kullanımlarının tıp eğitiminde yüksek olduğunu göstermiştir. Bulgulara uygun olarak araştırmacılar ve eğitimciler için çeşitli önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

Bu çalışmanın amacı, farklı branşlardan öğretmenlerin bilgi işlemsel düşünme becerilerinin tanımı hakkındaki görüşlerini yansıtarak, bu becerinin kazandırılması konusunda hangi yöntem ve araçların nasıl kullanılması gerektiği; öğretmenler, veliler ve altyapı açısından müfredata ve okulların mevcut durumuna entegrasyonu hakkında görüşlerini incelemektir. Nitel araştırma yöntemlerine dayalı olarak tasarlanan bu çalışmada, bilgiişlemsel düşünme becerilerinin geliştirilmesi için hizmetiçi eğitim almış öğretmenlere yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu uygulanmıştır. Nitel veriler içerik analizi ile kodlanmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlara göre, bilgi işleme düşüncesinin genellikle öğretmenler tarafından problem çözme becerisi olarak tanımlandığı, bilgi işleme düşüncesinin en önemli katkısının üretime katkı sağladığı ve bilgi işleme becerileri eğitiminin ilkokuldan itibaren disiplinlerarası bir yaklaşımla kazandırılmaya başlaması gerektiği ortaya çıkmıştır.; This study aims to reflect the opinions of expert teachers from different branches about the definition of computational thinking skills, how and through which methods and instruments they should be acquired, their integration into the curriculum and the present condition of schools in terms of administrators, teachers, parents and infrastructure. In this study that was designed with qualitative method, semi-structured interview form was applied to teachers who had received in-service training for the development of computational thinking skills. Qualitative data were coded with content analysis. According to the results reached in the research, it is prevalent to think that information processing thinking is generally defined by teachers as problem solving skills, knowledge processing thinking is the most important contribution of the student to production, and that the training of information processing skills should be started in primary school with an interdisciplinary approach.
