Beşinci sınıf Türkçe ders kitabındaki öyküleyici ve bilgilendirici metinlerin okunabilirlik durumu

Abstract

Gelişen teknolojiye rağmen ders kitapları en çok kullanılan araç gereçlerdir. Hedef kitleye uygun metinler öğretmenlerin işini kolaylaştıracağı gibi öğrencinin okuma zevk ve alışkanlığı kazanmasında önemlidir. Hedef kitleye uygun metin seçme yollarından biri okunabilirlik düzeyini belirlemektir. Bu araştırmada Orta Okul Türkçe 5. Sınıf Ders Kitabı’ndaki öyküleyici ve bilgilendirici metinlerin okunabilirliğini belirlemek amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada tarama yöntemi kullanılmıştır. 14 öyküleyici 12 bilgilendirici metin incelenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda bilgilendirici metinlerin öyküleyici metinlere göre daha uzun sözcük ve cümlelerden oluştuğu ve okunabilirlik düzeyinin daha zor olduğu, metinlerin kolaydan zora sıralanmadığı ve metin türleri arasındaki farkın anlamlı olduğu görülmüştür.

Despite the technological advances, textbooks are the most used tools. Texts suitable for the target groupare important for the student to gain the pleasure and habit of reading, and makes the teachers’ job easier as well.The aim of this study is to determine the readability of narrative and informative text located in the 5th-grade Turkish textbook. Screening method was used in the study. 14 narrative texts and 12 informative texts were studied. As a result of the research, it was seen that informative texts werecomposed of longer words and phrases than narrativetexts and the level of readability weremore difficult,the texts werenot arranged from easy to difficult, and the differences between text types werefound to be significant.
