The primary objective of the department is to train teachers equipped with foundational knowledge, skills, and attitudes who will serve at all levels in both the public and private sectors. These teachers will adopt progressive perspectives and ethical values, be open to innovation and developments in English teaching, and develop a critical and multicultural viewpoint on language issues arising from global English usage, enabling them to make pedagogical decisions suitable for various English teaching environments.
