Patients with coronary artery disease represent one of the highest risk groups for cardiovascular disease. Age, sex, hypertension, high low-density lipoprotein (LDL) and low high-density lipoprotein (HDL) levels, and an unhealthy lifestyle are important risk factors [1]. Patients usually present to the emergency department with chest pain. It is essential to obtain a comprehensive pain history and to perform electrocardiography in patients with chest pain. The nurse's most important responsibilities in this area include relieving the pain of the patient with chest pain, planning care, and providing ongoing patient education [2]. © 2023 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
