İNTİHAR?ZAMANIMIZIN BİR KAHRAMANI ROMANINDA BİREYİN TRAJEDİSİ

Abstract

The sixth novel of Kaan Arslanoglu, who started his novel with the novel Devrimciler (1988), is İntihar?Zamanımızın Bir Kahramanı. The author, who has experienced the events of the 1980s period and saw the influence of his experiences in his works, now has thirteen novels. This novel by Arslanoğlu, who successfully portrays the human portraits of our time in his works, is about the struggle for the existence of the character Erdem as a struggle for existence in the society, the alienation of himself and his surroundings. The modern human type and its problems, which have begun to be seen in Turkish society as it is in other societies, have also  found their place in Turkish novel. Erdem character, who shares the same problems as today's Turkish society, depression and loneliness, resembles many other novel characters with these problems. In this work, the tragedy of a modern city man who is suffering from the grip of life, psychological dilemmas, suicide and planning to give up everything will be examined through sociological and psychoanalytic basis through the novel of İntihar?Zamanımızın Bir Kahramanı novel.

Roman yazarlığına Devrimciler (1988) romanıyla başlayan Kaan Arslanoğlu'nun altıncı romanı İntihar?Zamanımızın Bir Kahramanı'dır. 1980 dönemi olaylarını yaşamış olan ve yaşadıklarının etkisini eserlerinde gördüğümüz yazarın, günümüz itibariyle on üç romanı bulunmaktadır. Yapıtlarında çağımızın insan portrelerini başarıyla çizen Arslanoğlu'nun bu romanı, Erdem adlı karakterin toplum içerisinde varoluş mücadelesini, bunalımlarını, kendine ve çevresine yabancılaşmasını konu alır. Diğer toplumlarda olduğu gibi Türk toplumunda da görülmeye başlanan modern insan tipi ve onun sorunları, Türk romanında da kendine hayli yer bulmuştur. Günümüz Türk toplumuyla, bunalım ve yalnızlık gibi aynı sorunları paylaşan Erdem karakteri, bu sorunlara sahip birçok roman karakterine de benzemektedir. Bu çalışmada, İntihar?Zamanımızın Bir Kahramanı romanı üzerinden yaşama tutunma sancısı çeken, psikolojik açmazları olan, intihar edip her şeyden vazgeçmeyi planlayan modern bir kent insanının trajedisi, sosyolojik ve psikanalitik temellendirmelerle incelenecektir.
