Covid 19 Pandemisinin Ekonomik Göstergeler Üzerindeki Etkileri: Yapısal Kırılmalı Birim Kök Analizi

Abstract

Mart 2020’de artık pandemi olarak kabul edilen ve kısa sürede tüm dünyaya yayılan Covid-19 pandemisi tüm sektörleri etkilediği gibi turizm sektörünü de etkilemiştir ve belki de turizm sektörü bu pandemiden en çok etkilenen sektörlerden biri olmuştur. Yayılma hızı açısından diğer salgın hastalıklardan ayrılan Covid-19 salgını toplumsal hareketliliği sınırlamış ve turizmde hijyen ve güven sorununu ön plana çıkarmıştır. Bu çalışmada, 2013-2021 yıllarına ait aylık veriler yardımıyla Zonguldak, Karabük ve Bartın’da gelen turist sayısı, konut satış sayısı ve enflasyonun pandemiden ne şekilde etkilendiği yapısal kırılmalı birim kök testlerinden Vogelsang-Perron birim kök testleriyle incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın sonucuna göre, 2020 yılı Mart ayında Türkiye’de ortaya çıkan pandeminin etkilerinin, Zonguldak ve Bartın’a gelen turist sayılarında kalıcı etki bıraktığı tespit edilmiştir. Konut satış sayısı ve enflasyon açısından ise, Bartın, Karabük ve Zonguldak’ta pandeminin konut satışları üzerinde ve enflasyon üzerinde geçici etkileri olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

The Covid-19 pandemic, which was accepted as a pandemic in March 2020 and spread all over the world in a short time, affected all sectors as well as the tourism sector, and perhaps the tourism sector has been one of the sectors most affected by this pandemic. The Covid-19 epidemic, which differs from other epidemic diseases in terms of its spread rate, limited social mobility and brought the hygiene and trust issues to the forefront in tourism. In this study, with the help of monthly data for the years 2013-2021, the number of tourists, housing sales and inflation in Zonguldak, Karabük and Bartın were examined by Vogelsang-Perron unit root tests, one of the structural break unit root tests. According to the results of the study, it was determined that the effects of the pandemic that emerged in Turkey in March 2020 left a lasting effect on the number of tourists coming to Zonguldak and Bartın. In terms of number of house sales and inflation, it was concluded that the pandemic had temporary effects on house sales and inflation in Bartın, Karabük and Zonguldak.
