New Information About Sokullu Mehmed Pashazade Kasim Pasha in the Light of Intizâmî's work Tuhfetü'l-Ihvan

Abstract

The works of sergüzeştnâme, in which some or all of the poets lives are described, also contribute to the clarification of some historical events. In the works of Sergüşestname, the adventures of the poet and dealing with the events that have taken place, the thoughts reflecting the social conditions of the poet's period, his journeys, his illnesses, his troubles, his places and institutions he worked, his hometown, his love adventures, his complaints from time, etc. are expressed. In the study; In the work titled Tuhfetü'l-İhvân in the genre of Sergüzest of Bosnian Intizâmî, the story of Sokullu Mehmed Pasha's son Kâsım Pasha, about his activities and his death, and his writing for Pasha were discussed. What İntizâmî said about Kâsım Pasha, especially before Mersiye, clarifies some points about the biography of Pasha, who does not have much information about the story told by Evliya Celebi.
