Ecological landscape planning and management: Approaches and innovations

Abstract

In recent years, natural resources have been negatively affected due to technological developments and human activities. As a result of this, serious environmental problems have emerged around the world. Because of these negative effects, deterioration has accelerated in landscape. Today, rational and sustainable planning, effective protection and management studies should be carried out in the landscape that is important with its unspoiled natural and cultural structure. In this study, first phases of conservation, planning and management activities in landscapes are disclosed. Importance of using computer technology and related tools in studies of landscape ecology are highlighted. © 2021 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
