Şahinkaya Kanyonu Tabiat Parkı ve çevresinde yayılış gösteren kuş türlerinin habitat tercihleri

Abstract

Bu çalışma Samsun ilinin Vezirköprü, Alaçam ve Bafra ilçeleri sınırları içerisinde bulunan Şahinkaya Kanyonu Tabiat Parkı ve çevresinde bulunan kuş türlerinin habitat tercihleri, meşcere yapısal özellikleri, popülasyon büyüklükleri ve çalışma alanında yaptıkları dağılımlar araştırılmaya çalışılmıştır. Tez konusunun belirlenmesinden sonra Şahinkaya Kanyonu Tabiat Parkı ve çevresinde Mart 2023 ile Ekim 2025 tarihleri arasında 22 gözlem noktasında yürütülen arazi çalışmaları sonucunda 19 takıma dahil 42 adet familyadan 112 kuş türü tespit edilmiştir. Çalışma alanında tespit edilen kuş türlerinin takımlar düzeyinde dağılımı incelendiğinde, 59 tür ile Passeriformes takımı açık ara farkla en yüksek tür zenginliğine sahip grup olarak öne çıkmaktadır.Bu takımı 12 tür ile Accipitriformes takımı izlerken, Columbiformes, Falconiformes ve Pelecaniformes takımlarının her biri 5'er tür ile üçüncü sırada yer almaktadır. Charadriiformes, Coraciiformes, Anseriformes ve Piciformes takımları 3'er tür ile bu sıralamada dördüncü sırada yer alırken, Apodiformes, Strigiformes, Podicipediformes ve Ciconiiformes takımlarının her biri 2 tür ile beşinci sırada yer almaktadır.Cuculiformes, Gruiformes, Galliformes, Caprimulgiformes, Bucerotiformes ve Suliformes takımları çalışma alanında 1'er tür ile temsil edilmektedirTespit edilen türlerin yerel statüleri incelendiğinde hem yaz göçmeni hem geçit türleri 31, hem her zaman hem kış göçmeni hem de geçit 26, her zaman görünen tür sayısı 30, hem kış göçmeni hem geçit sayısı 7, her zaman ve kış göçmeni 7, sadece geçit sayısı 7, her zaman ve geçit 2, her zaman ve yaz göçmeni 1 ve hem her zaman hem kış göçmeni hem de geçit türü ise 1 olarak belirlenmiştir.Bu çalışmanın, sürdürülebilir orman yönetimi perspektifinde orman ekosistemlerinde yaşayan kuş türleri ile bunların ekolojik etkileşimlerine ilişkin bilimsel bilgi üretimine katkı sunması beklenmektedir.

This study was carried out in Şahinkaya Canyon Nature Park and its surrounding areas, located within the administrative boundaries of the Vezirköprü, Alaçam, and Bafra districts of Samsun Province, with the aim of examining the habitat preferences, stand structural characteristics, population sizes, and spatial distribution patterns of bird species in the study area. Following the determination of the thesis topic, field surveys were conducted at 22 observation points in and around Şahinkaya Canyon Nature Park between March 2023 and October 2025. As a result of these surveys, a total of 112 bird species belonging to 42 families and 19 orders were recorded. When the distribution of the recorded bird species was analyzed at the order level, Passeriformes emerged as the most species-rich group by a wide margin, with 59 species. This was followed by Accipitriformes with 12 species, while Columbiformes, Falconiformes, and Pelecaniformes each ranked third with five species. Charadriiformes, Coraciiformes, Anseriformes, and Piciformes ranked fourth with three species each, whereas Apodiformes, Strigiformes, Podicipediformes, and Ciconiiformes were each represented by two species. Cuculiformes, Gruiformes, Galliformes, Caprimulgiformes, Bucerotiformes, and Suliformes were represented by a single species each in the study area. An evaluation of the local status of the recorded species indicated that 31 species were classified as both summer migrants and passage migrants; 26 species as resident, winter migrant, and passage migrant; 30 species as resident; 7 species as both winter migrant and passage migrant; 7 species as resident and winter migrant; 7 species as passage migrant only; 2 species as resident and passage migrant; 1 species as resident and summer migrant; and 1 species as resident, winter migrant, and passage migrant.It is expected that this study will contribute to the production of scientific knowledge on bird species inhabiting forest ecosystems and their ecological interactions within the perspective of sustainable forest management.
