Özet

The problem of freedom, which is one of the most important subjects in the history of philosophy, is generally discussed through the responsibility of the human being. It can be said that this problem, which is handled with the freedom of choice and action, is more complex than it appears. This complex structure involves examining the reasons behind the choices made. As a result of such an examination, it has been concluded that there are three basic views on the problem of freedom: determinist, indeterminist and freedom of indifference. In this study, Schiller's and Oner's critiques of determinism, indeterminism and freedom of indifference and their views on freedom of choice will be discussed.
