Yoksulluk algısına farklı bir bakış

Abstract

Üzerinde yaşadığımız Dünya insanların temel ihtiyaçlarını karşılamak açısından yeterli kaynaklara sahiptir. Ancak bu kaynakların işletilmesi, âdil paylaşımı ve dağıtımında çok büyük sorunlar yaşanmaktadır. Yoksulluk bu paylaşımdaki büyük adaletsizliğin bir sonucu olup en temel insan hakkı olan yaşama hakkını tehdit etmektedir. Bu tehdide muhatap olan insan sayısının yaklaşık dünya nüfusunun yarısını teşkil etmesi meselenin ciddiyetini ortaya koymaktadır. Yoksulluğa pek çok sebep gösterilebilir. Ancak iki tanesi belirleyici konumdadır. Bunlardan birisi tüm dünyada egemen olan Batı medeniyetinin felsefi temelleri ve hayata bakış şekli, diğeri ise Batı medeniyetinden beslenen tekelci kapitalist sistemdir. Dünyada gelir dağılımı uçurumunun kapatılması ve yakıcı yoksulluğun giderilmesi için yeni bir medeniyet algısına ihtiyaç vardır.

The world that we live in has the necessary resources to meet the basic needs of human beings. However, there have been great problems about the management, fair division and distribution of these resources. Poverty is the result of injustice in this division and threatens the basic human right, which is right to live. The fact that half of the world population faces this threat reveals the severity of the issue. Many reasons can be stated for this poverty but two of them occupy determinative positions. One of them is the philosophical bases and world view of the worldwide dominant Western civilization, the other one is monopoly capitalism, which is nourished by the Western civilization. There is a need for a new perception of civilization to cover the gulf in income distribution and to solve the problem of destructive poverty.
