dc.description.abstractThe technology usage of preschool-aged children (2–5 years) and the impact of family variables, including parental education, income, and work position, on parents' perceptions of their children's digital media use are both examined in this study. It also looks at the connection between children's technology usage and parental participation. The Parental Attitudes Towards Technology Usage Scale (PATTUS) and a demographic information form were used to gather information from 303 parents in Nevşehir and Kayseri, Turkey. The findings suggest that higher parental education is related to less screen time, whereas higher income is associated with earlier technology exposure. Parental participation is essential, and parents who are more involved prefer to restrict their children’s screen usage. The study suggests that specific educational initiatives are required to support parents, particularly those from lower socioeconomic backgrounds, in effectively managing their children's technology use. It also emphasizes the significance of sociodemographic factors in forming preschoolers' digital habits.
