İdris Türk’ün “Tasavvufî Bir Eğitim Yöntemi Olarak Sohbet: Disiplinlerarası Bir Yaklaşım” Adlı Eserin Değerlendirmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışma, Pamukkale Üniversitesi öğretim üyesi İdris Türk'ün, “Tasavvufî Bir Eğitim Yöntemi Olarak Sohbet -Disiplinler Arası Bir Yaklaşım-” adlı eserinin değerlendirilmesini sunmaktadır. Eser, tasavvuf düşüncesinde merkezi bir yere sahip olan sohbet olgusunu geniş kapsamlı ve disiplinler arası bir yöntemle incelemektedir. Türk, sohbeti sadece bireyler arası bir iletişim biçimi olarak değil, aynı zamanda manevî hâl aktarımı, gönül terbiyesi, rehberlik, eğitim ve dostluğun gerçekleştiği çok boyutlu bir süreç olarak ele almıştır. Kitap, sohbet kavramının sözlük ve tasavvuf terminolojisindeki farklı kullanımlarını açıklayarak kavramın Kur’an, sünnet ve kültür içindeki yerini temellendirmiştir. Ayrıca eserde, sohbetin pedagojik, sosyal ve psikolojik faydaları ayrıntılı biçimde ortaya konulmuş; ideal bir sohbetin adabı ile konuşmacı ve dinleyicide bulunması gereken nitelikler incelenmiştir. Hem klasik hem de güncel kaynaklara dayanan bu kapsamlı çalışma, sade ve anlaşılır bir dil kullanmasıyla hedefini büyük ölçüde gerçekleştirmiştir. Eser, tasavvufun temel eğitim yöntemlerinden biri olan sohbeti ilmî ve manevî boyutlarıyla derinlemesine inceleyerek, hem akademik araştırmacılar hem de tasavvufî geleneğe ilgi duyan okuyucular için güvenilir bir başvuru kaynağı niteliği taşımaktadır.This study presents an evaluation of the work by Pamukkale University faculty member İdris Türk, entitled ‘‘As A Sufi Education Mathod Sohbet -An İnterdisciplinary Approach-.” The book offers a comprehensive and interdisciplinary examination of the concept of sohbet, which occupies a central place in Sufi thought. Türk approaches sohbet not merely as a form of interpersonal communication but as a multidimensional process encompassing the transmission of spiritual states, refinement of the heart, guidance, education, and companionship. The book establishes the foundations of the concept by explaining its various usages in both linguistic and sufi terminology and by situating it within the contexts of the Qur’an, the sunnah, and Islamic culture. Furthermore, the study elaborates in detail on the pedagogical, social, and psychological benefits of sohbet, while also examining the etiquette of an ideal sohbet and the essential qualities expected of both the speaker and the listener. Drawing upon both classical and contemporary sources, this comprehensive work largely succeeds in achieving its aim through its clear and accessible language. By examining sohbet - one of the fundamental educational methods of sufism - in its intellectual and spiritual dimensions, the book stands as a reliable reference for both academic researchers and readers interested in the sufi tradition.
