Özet
Fluoropolymer nanocomposites are a new type of hybrid nanostructure material. It exhibits unusual physicochemical features such as hydrophobicity and lipophobicity, reduced surface energy, low phase segregation, and chemical stability. Because of these characteristics, fluoropolymer nanocomposites have been frequently employed to produce high-performance materials. Fluoropolymers have seen fast growth in biological and biomedical applications over the last decade. The latest improvements in fluoropolymer nanocomposite synthesis and processing techniques are the subject of this critical review. The mechanisms and properties of fluoropolymers in delivery of gene, delivery of protein, and delivery of drug, diagnostic tools, antibacterial and antifouling applications, tissue and cell culture, dental implants, and biosensors are reviewed. Lastly, the problems faced and the potential of fluoropolymer nanocomposites in biological and medical applications are covered. © 2023 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
