LEYLÂ İLE MECNÛN ADLANDIRMASI ÜZERİNE BAZI MÜLAHAZALAR

Abstract

Klasik İslam Edebiyatı'nda mühim bir yer tutan aşk temalı yazının en önemli eserleri arasında Leylâ ile Mecnûn'u ele alanları saymak gerekmektedir. İlk örneğini Nizamî Gencevî'nin ortaya koyduğu bu eserler, sonrasında bir edebî gelenek hâline dönüşmüş ve Klasik Türk Edebiyat'ında da yer edinmiştir. Öyle ki bu eser, kendinden önce yazılanları adeta gölgede bırakmış ve sonra yazılanlar içinse bir prototip olmuştur. Bu yazının amacı hem Klasik İslam ve hem de Klasik Türk Edebiyatlarında derin izler bırakan bu yazın geleneğinin adlandırması üzerine bir tartışma açmaktır. Daha önce akademik ve popüler literatürde dile getirilmemiş bir iddia ile bu adlandırmanın yeni bir bağlama çekilmesini sağlamaktır. İddianın temeli, Leylâ ve Mecnûn adlandırmasındaki Mecnûn'un, genel kabulün ileri sürdüğü bir meczûbiyet/delilik hâli olmadığı; bunun ötesinde, Kur'ân temelli olduğudur. Bu çerçevede, Leylâ isimlendirmesi de anlamlı bir bağlam içine çekilebilmektedir

Among the love themed pieces which take an important place in The Classical Islamic Literature, it is necessary to count the pieces about Leila and Macnoon as one of the most significant ones. The first pattern of Leila and Macnoon writing was presented by Nizame Gancave and then it has improved as a literatural tradition placed in The Classical Islamic Literature. It is such an improvement that it has overshadowed the others and been the prototype of the following pieces. The aim of this study to start a debate on this writing tradition left deep traces both on The Classical Islamic Literature and The Classical Turkish Literature. That is to say it is intended to make a claim that hasn't been set neither in academical nor popular research. The base of that claim is that there is not an situation about “madness” in the meaning of “Macnoon” placed in the Leila and Macnoon naming and what is more this naming has a Qoranic base. Within this frame, the naming of Leila is also available to pull in a more meaningful context
