Özet
Individual Voice Education (IVE) courses within undergraduate music teacher education programs focus on developing fundamental vocal skills through performance-based instruction. Due to the inherently abstract nature of voice training and its reliance on the assessment of psychomotor, performance, clearly defined and standardized assessment frameworks are essential. However, both the literature and expert perspectives indicate that structured written assessment tools are largely absent in the evaluation processes of IVE courses. This study aims to develop a systematic and practical measurement tool with high validity and reliability by constructing an analytic rubric for the assessment of vocal performance in IVE. The rubric was developed and validated using the Many-Facet Rasch Measurement Model (MFRM). The instrument evaluates six core performance criteria: posture, breathing, voice production, tone quality, musical sensitivity, and language use. The findings indicate that the proposed rubric demonstrates strong validity and reliability and offers a structured framework for both formative and summative assessment. It is expected that this study will contribute to improving the quality and transparency of assessment practices in IVE and support instructors in providing more consistent and pedagogically meaningful evaluations.
