Objective: To compare motor dual-task performance in older adults with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) relative to a control group and examine its relationship with physical activity. Methods: Fifty-four older adults (MMSE >= 24) completed the dual-task Timed Up and Go (TUGM) test. Physical activity (PASE), comorbidity (modified Charlson Comorbidity Index, mCCI), and handgrip strength were assessed. Results: The T2DM group showed poorer TUGM performance (P < .05). Dual-task duration correlated positively with mCCI and negatively with PASE in both groups (P < .05). Conclusions: Higher comorbidity burden and lower physical activity are associated with impaired motor dual-task performance in older adults with T2DM.
