Address Forms in the Kemâl Ümmî Divân

Abstract

Communication has had a very large place in our lives from past to present. In order for effective communication to occur, a bond must be established between the speaker and the one being addressed. This is mostly possible through the words of address. Address words have a long history in our language's vocabulary. Examples can be found in many texts from Old Turkish to today's literature. In this study, an attempt was made to determine the structural features and addressees of the words of address based on the Kemâl Ümmî Divân. The Divân is a rich work in terms of words of address. The variety of words of address in the poems shows that the poet skillfully uses the possibilities of the language. In the study, the words of address are discussed under two headings according to their structure: Exclamations of Address and Structures Used as Words of Address. According to their addressees, they are grouped as Expressions of Address Towards Allah, Expressions of Address Towards Living Beings, Expressions of Address Towards Inanimate Beings and Expressions of Address Towards the Poet Himself. In the work, 330 interjections were identified according to their structure. The number of interjections based on their addressees is 325. The most frequently used word in Kemâl Ümmî's Divan is gö?ül, repeated 53 times. The poet's frequent use of this phrase indicates that the work was written with a Sufi perspective and has a strong didactic tone.

İletişim geçmişten bugüne kadar yaşamımızda çok büyük yer kaplamaktadır. Etkili bir iletişimin gerçekleşmesi için ise seslenen ile seslenilen arasında bir bağın kurulması gerekir. Bu da çoğunlukla seslenme sözleriyle mümkün olmaktadır. Seslenme sözleri okuyucu ve dinleyiciyi etkilemek için kullanılan bir hitap veya doğrudan konuşma biçimidir. Eski Türkçeden günümüz edebiyatına kadar birçok metinde örneklerine rastlanmaktadır. Bu çalışmada Kemâl Ümmî Divânı esas alınarak seslenme sözlerinin yapı özellikleri ve muhatapları tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Divân seslenme sözleri açısından zengin bir eserdir. Şiirlerdeki seslenme sözlerinin çeşitliliği şairin dilin olanaklarını maharetle kullandığını göstermektedir. Çalışmada seslenme sözleri yapısına göre Seslenme Ünlemleri ve Seslenme Sözü Olarak Kullanılan Yapılar şeklinde iki başlıkta ele alınmıştır. Muhataplarına göre ise Allah’a Yönelik Seslenme İfadeleri, Canlı Varlıklara Yönelik Seslenme İfadeleri, Cansız Varlıklara Yönelik Seslenme İfadeleri ve Şairin Kendisine Yönelik Seslenme İfadeleri olarak gruplanmıştır. Eserde Yapısına Göre 330 Seslenme Sözü tespit edilmiştir. Muhataplarına Göre Seslenme Sözlerinin sayısı ise 325’tir. Metinde tespit edilen seslenme sözlerinin çoğu ünlem grubudur. Seslenme Ünlemi + Kelime ve Seslenme Ünlemi + Kelime Grubu biçiminde 281 seslenme sözü vardır. Kemâl Ümmî Divânı’nda en çok seslenilen kelime gö?üldür. 53 yerde tekrar edilmiştir. Şairin bu sözü sıkça kullanması eserin tasavvufi bir anlayış ile kaleme alındığını ve öğüt yönü ağır basan bir niteliğe sahip olduğunu gösterir.
