Özet

Microlearning has emerged as a flexible and scalable pedagogical approach for knowledge acquisition and professional skill development in contemporary education. This study presents a bibliometric-systematic literature review (B + SLR) to examine global research trends in microlearning, with a focus on higher education, corporate training, and health education. Following PRISMA guidelines, 49 high-impact studies were selected from the Web of Science and Scopus databases using predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria. Bibliometric analyses were conducted using RStudio and Biblioshiny, incorporating co-word analysis, co-citation mapping, and thematic evolution techniques. The results indicate a steady growth in microlearning research over the past decade, with dominant themes including mobile learning, gamification, and artificial intelligence-enabled personalization. The United States leads in publication output and citation impact, while Iran and Malaysia also demonstrate notable contributions, reflecting increasing global engagement. However, adoption challenges persist, particularly in resource-constrained contexts, due to technological limitations and pedagogical readiness. The study highlights the need for improved digital infrastructure, educator capacity-building, and inclusive microlearning design to support scalable, equitable implementation.
