The View of Guest Houses Towards Association: Amasra Case

Abstract

In the research, it was investigated whether it is necessary to establish a guest house association in Amasra district of Bartın province, which is an important guest house centre in Turkey. In the research, qualitative research method and exploratory research design were used in accordance with the purpose and scope of the research. As a result of the research, it was understood that the guest house currently carried out in Amasra has not achieved the respectable status it deserves and cannot serve tourism with a healthy and controlled structure. The most obvious reason for this is that Amasra Municipality and District Governorship and Bartın Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism could not work in effective coordination and could not gather the guest houses in Amasra under a single roof, so the idea of establishing an association was not approached positively by the guest house boarders.

Araştırmada, Türkiye’de önemli bir ev pansiyonculuğu merkezi olan Bartın ilinin Amasra ilçesinde ev pansiyoncuları derneğinin kurulmasının gerekli olup olmadığı araştırılmıştır. Araştırmada, araştırmanın amacına ve kapsamına uygun olarak nitel araştırma yöntemi ve keşifsel araştırma tasarımı kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, Amasra’da hâlihazırda sürdürülen ev pansiyonculuğunun hak ettiği saygın statüye kavuşamadığı ve turizme sağlıklı ve kontrollü bir yapıyla hizmet veremediği anlaşılmıştır. Bunun en belirgin nedeni olarak da Amasra Belediyesi ve Kaymakamlığı ile Bartın İl Kültür ve Turizm Müdürlüğünün etkin bir koordinasyon içinde çalışamadığı ve Amasra’daki ev pansiyonlarını tek bir çatı altında toplayamadığından dolayı ev pansiyoncuları tarafından da dernek kurulma fikrine olumlu yaklaşılmamıştır.
