PERGE ARKEOLOJİK SİT ALANI, PEYZAJ ÖZELLİKLERİ VE KORUMA SORUNLARI

Abstract

Yerleşmeler insan yaşamının sürdüğü yaşamsal çevrelerdir. Çevre kaynaklarını kullanan ve toplumsal gereklerecevap verecek biçimde gelişen kentler, doğa-insan-mekan ilişkilerinin mekana ve fiziksel çevreye yansıması ileortaya çıkan oluşumlardır. Tarihi süreç içinde belli dönemlerin izlerini taşıyan arkeolojik sit alanlarıuygarlıkların kültür, yaşam biçimi ve çevre oluşumlarının göstergesidir. Perge arkeolojik sit alanı ise M.Ö.300'lerden bu yana varlığını sürdüren bir yerleşim yeri olarak bünyesinde barındırdığı kültür katmanları yanındasahip olduğu doğal bitki örtüsü ve çevre kaynakları ile özgün, kültürel peyzaj açısından nitelikli bir çevredir. Bumakalede Perge arkeolojik sit alanının çevre-yerleşim özellikleri ve kent kimliğinin tarihi süreç içindeki gelişimiortaya konmuş, kent bünyesinde bugüne ulaşan yapılar tanıtılarak alanın sorun ve olanakları saptanmış, peyzajözellikleri değerlendirilerek Perge arkeolojik sit alanı için öneriler geliştirilmiştir.Settlements as built environments are the living spaces/habitats of human beings. Cities that developed accordingto the needs of the communities are the physical reflections of cultures showing nature, human and spaceinterrelationships as urban formations. So, many different settlement patterns were developed through historydue to the environmental and the socio-cultural factors. On the other hand, archeological sites having the tracesof different periods are the evidences of life styles, cultural, technological and social formations of variouscivilizations. In this article, the development of Perge antique settlement through history, the buildings formingthe settlement and its landscape properties were presented. Then, the potentials and problems of the area and itsnear environs were evaluated. At the final stage, the existing situation of the archeological site was set andconservation issues of Perge antique settlement were discussed.
