Özet
Design is involved with creativity. Even if creativity seems an inherent quality that a designer should have, it can be taught by variety of methods. One of the most successful methods used in design education is analogical design [1][6]. Design education in landscape architecture can be challenging since the design materials include not only non-living elements but also living systems. Based on landscape design principles, landscape designers should pay attention to existing living conditions on the site when they generate forms. Analogical design method enables designers to have a flexible environment in studio setting to foster their creativity with limitations. Therefore, this study proposes an alternative method to foster landscape architecture students' design creativity in a studio setting using form generation that resembles Broandbent's analogical design approach [5].
