Özet

In this study, information was given about the works they did with the prominent translators in theAncient Arab World and the important works they translated into Arabic from different languages. In addition,the contributions of the works brought to the Arab world by prominent translators to Arab translation activitiesare mentioned. In the ancient Arab World, the translation of the information transmitted from generation togeneration thanks to the translations made by translators acting as a bridge between different cultures, andinformation about the interpretations of these translators in the palaces were also provided. Translation is veryimportant for intercultural communication. Translation activities, which have contributed greatly to the transferof ideas and beliefs and to communication between different communities, played a key role in the developmentof world culture. Translation has always been a bridge between civilizations; in fact, written and oraltranslations throughout history have been an important factor in ensuring communication betweencommunities. In this context; Interpreters come to the forefront in intercultural information transfer, thanks totheir translations, they have brought important copyrighted works from different nations such as medicine,literature and astronomy to the world cultural heritage. However; In addition to being a communication actionbetween different cultures, translation is a dynamic activity that requires interpreters to make choices and makedecisions to solve the problems they face when translating. In the Arab-Islamic world, interpreters were neededto communicate the Islamic religion of Prophet Muhammad and to communicate with the communities in theregions conquered during the conquest. In the Arab-Islamic world, interpreting, which started Islam with thecommunique of Islam in the period of Prophet Mohammed and became a very effective activity in the followingperiods, played a major role in bringing important translators to the stage of history. These important translatorsin the Arab world have translated the works of royalty, especially in languages such as Ancient Greek, Syriacand Persian, into the world cultural heritage. However; In the study, the definition of translation andinformation about the important translators of the Arab World and their translations were given.
