Meslek yüksekokullarının sorunları ve çözüm önerileri

Abstract

Ülkemizde ön lisans düzeyinde eğitim 2547 Sayılı Yükseköğretim Kanunu’nun 20. maddesinde düzenlenmiştir. İki yıllık süre ile eğitim veren meslek yüksekokulları yetişmiş ara eleman ihtiyacını karşılamada önemli bir yere sahiptir. Meslek yüksekokullarının en önemli sorunlarının başında eğitim ve öğretim programlarının işgücü piyasasının ihtiyaçlarına uygun olarak tasarlanmaması gelmektedir. Bunun yanı sıra, nitelikli öğretim elemanı ihtiyacının sağlanamaması da önemli sorunların başında gelmektedir. Uygulamalı eğitimin ağırlıklı olduğu ön lisans programlarında yeterli teknik altyapının oluşturulamaması, mezun öğrencilerin yeterli istihdam alanı bulamamaları, öğretim elemanı-öğrenci arasındaki iletişim eksikliği gibi diğer sorunlar da bu çalışmamızda irdelenerek çözüm önerileri yer verilecektir.

Education in associate degree level in our country is regulated in Article 20 of Higher Education Law No. 2547. Vocational schools with two years of education have an important place in meeting the needs of trained intermediate staff.One of the most important problems of vocational schools is that education and training programs are not designed according to the needs of the labor market. Besides this, the fact that the need for qualified teaching staff can not be achieved is also one of the most important problems.Other problems such as lack of sufficient technical infrastructure in the associate degree programs where practical education is predominant, lack of sufficient employment area of graduated students, lack of communication between the teaching staff and students will be discussed in this study and solution proposal will be given.
