Özet
The Fezleke, in which Kâtip Çelebi wrote events between the years 1000-1065 (1591 / 1592-1654 / 1655) depending on the tradition of Islamic historiography, is an Ottoman history. Depending on the fictional structure of Fezleke, it is seen that the biographies of the people who died in that year are written under the headings of death at the end of each year. Biographies of prominent personalities of the period such as sultan, grand vizier, sheikhulislam, vizier, qadi, professor and many writers and poets biographies are among these biographies, which are sometimes included in the fiction, sometimes as detailed and sometimes as an account. This issue has enabled Fezleke to be accepted as an important source work for both Turkish history, Turkish literature and the history of science. In this study, in which we aim to examine the biographies of poets and writers in Fezleke in terms of their narrative features and content, first of all, biographies in which the poetry or authorship aspects of the people are clearly stated were determined. A table including birth, title/nickname, lineage-relative, education/training received, task/duties undertaken, copyrighted work/works and death information in 139 biographies included in the scope of the study was prepared. In the first part of our study, the aforementioned biographies were examined in terms of language, expression and style; The existence of elements such as the narrator, perspective and narration techniques that come to the fore in the analysis of modern texts in biographies are pointed out. In the second part, we follow the traces of the common narrative tradition in poet tezkires. The expressions of the evaluations made in the perspective of the person and the work in the biographies have been tried to be presented with examples. © 2024 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
