Özet
Ala ad-Din Kay-Qubad I supported his successful political and military moves with activities in the field of trade and ensured that the state lived its brightest period. In our study, coins from belonging to the sultanate of Ala ad-Din KayQubad I registered in the inventory of the Bursa Archaeology Museum were analysed. Accordingly, 220 coins were identified, 72 of which were introduced by excluding repeated examples from the catalogue. After evaluating the works within themselves, the importance of the works in Turkish art was determined by comparing them with examples of different materials in terms of their ornaments and coins minted by other states. In this context, the earliest works are 616 AH (1219-1220 AD), while the latest are dated 633 AH (1235-1236 AD). Silver and copper materials were used in coins, all of which were produced using the forging technique. The average diameter of the silver coins is 23.28 mm, and their weight is 2.89 g. The average diameter of copper coins is 22.56 mm and their weight is 3.25 g. The coins were minted mainly in the cities of Sivas and Konya. Although ornamental elements are classified as floral and geometric, geometric motifs are preferred more frequently than other motifs.
