An Analyse of Bedri Rahmi Eyuboglu and His View of Life Through His Self-Portrait Poems

Abstract

Bedri Rahmi Eyuboglu is an important personality who dedicated himself to developing culture and art, created his works with this aim, and tried to make society progress in this way. His passion for art and literature, especially poetry, made him create successful works that can be studied on. It is possible to reach some information such as the artist's biography, personality, and view of life through these works. Not every artist prefers to have clue about his biography and view of life in his works. But Bedri Rahmi Eyuboglu is not such an artist. He shared information about himself and revealed historical data in most of his works. Lines under his portrait paintings and poems named as self-portrait are adequate evidence. In this study, Bedri Rahmi Eyuboglu's thoughts about life and himself will be tried to reach through examples of mentioned poems and explanations in this study.
