Facebook’un benimsenmesi ile eğitsel amaçlı kullanımı arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi

Abstract

Öğretmenler dersleri kapsamında Facebook grupları oluşturarak ders içi ve dışı tartışmaların gerçekleştirilmesinde, dersle ilgili kaynak ve materyallerin paylaşılmasında bu grupları kullanmaktadırlar. Bu grupların nasıl kullanılacağı ve kullanırken hangi değişkenlere dikkat edileceği merak edilen konulardandır. Bu araştırmanın amacı Facebook’un benimsenmesi ile eğitsel amaçlı kullanımı arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektir. Araştırma ilişkisel tarama modeline göre yürütülmüş olup, araştırmanın katılımcılarını bir devlet üniversitesinin çeşitli bölümlerinde, birinci sınıfta öğrenim gören ve Bilgisayar I dersi kapsamında açılan Facebook Ders grubuna üye olan öğrenciler oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma söz konusu ders grubuna üye olan ve araştırmaya gönüllü olarak katılan 515 öğrenci üzerinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin %47.18’i erkek, %52.82’si ise kadındır. Çalışmada veri toplama aracı olarak; Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Facebook’un Benimsenmesi Ölçeği ve Facebook Eğitsel Kullanım Ölçeği’nden yararlanılmıştır. Ölçeklerden elde edilen verilerin normal dağılım gösterdiği belirlenmiş olup verilerin analizinde parametrik testler kullanılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda öğrencilerin Facebook benimsenme durumlarının orta düzeyde olduğu, Facebook’u eğitsel kullanım durumlarının ise gelişmiş olduğu görülmüştür. Ölçekler arası ilişki incelendiğinde, Facebook’un Benimsenmesi Ölçeği ile Facebook Eğitsel Kullanım Ölçeği arasında pozitif yönlü orta düzeyde anlamlı bir ilişki görülmektedir. Araştırma bulguları doğrultusunda öğretmenlere ve araştırmacılara yönelik çeşitli öneriler sunulmuştur. Within the scope of teachers' lessons, by creating Facebook groups, they use these groups to share resources and materials related to the lesson. It is curious to know how these groups will be used and which variables will be used when using them. The aim of current implementation is to explore the relationship between the adoption of Facebook and its educational use. The research was conducted according to the correlational research and the participants of the research are students who are enrolled in various departments of a state university and who are enrolled in the first class and who are members of the Facebook Course Group opened under Computer I course. The research was conducted on 515 students who were members of the lecture group and voluntarily participated in the research. 47.18% of the students who took place in the survey were male, 52.82% were females. As a means of data collection in research; Personal Information Form, Facebook Adoption Scale and Facebook Educational Use Scale were used. It was determined that the data obtained from the scales showed a normal distribution. For this reason parametric tests were used in the analysis of data. It was observed that the Facebook adoption status of the students was moderate in the direction of the findings obtained from the research and Facebook was improved in the educational use situations. When the relationship between the scales is examined, it is seen that there is a positively moderately meaningful relationship between Facebook Adoption Scale and Facebook Educational Use Scale. Various suggestions were made for teachers and researchers in the direction of research findings.
