İlköğretim I. kademede verilen performans görevlerinin öğretmen görüşleri açısından değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Bu araştırmada ilköğretim I. kademede verilen performans görevlerine ilişkin öğretmen görüşlerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma, 2009-2010 öğretim yılında Hatay il merkezindeki ilköğretim okullarında görev yapan öğretmenler üzerinde yapılmıştır.Araştırmada tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini, Antakya merkez ilçesinde bulunan toplam 147 ilköğretim okulu oluşturmaktadır. Örneklemi ise küme örnekleme yöntemi ile seçilen 37 ilköğretim okulundan toplam 309 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır.Veritoplama aracı olarak 5’li likert tipinde kapalı uçlu sorulardan oluşan anket ve açık uçlu sorulardan oluşan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır.Bu araştırmada tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Yapılan araştırma sonucunda; öğretmenlerin performans görevlerinin yararlı olduğunu, görevlerin öğrencileri düşünmeye yönlendirdiğini, kalıcı öğrenmeler sağladığını, öğrencilerin araştırma ve eleştirel düşünme becerilerini geliştirdiğini ve öğrencilerin öğrendiklerini günlük hayatla ilişkilendirdiklerini ifade ettikleri tespit edilmiştir. Performans görevlerinde yaşanan sorunlara ilişkin olarak; velilerin olumsuz tutumlarının öğrencileri olumsuz etkilediği, görevlerin değerlendirilmesi için sürenin yetersiz olduğu, internetin ve bilgisayarın yanlış kullanımının öğrencileri olumsuz etkilediği, öğrencilerin performans görevlerini neden yaptıklarını bilmedikleri, öğrencilerin görevlerin maddi yükünden şikâyetçi oldukları, görevlerin emek harcanmadan internetten hazır alındığını ve görevlerin çoğunun veliler tarafından hazırlandığı saptanmıştır.

In this study, it is aimed to find out teachers’ opinions about performance tasks given at the first degree of primary education. The study was carried out on teachers working at primary schools in Hatay province in 2009-2010 education year. The survey model was used in this study. The population of the study is composed of 147 primary schools in Antakya city center. The sample consists of 309 teachers chosen from 37 primary schools by cluster sampling method. As data collection toolwas questionnaire which consisted of 5 likert-type closed-ended questions and semi-structured interview form that consisted of open-ended questions used. It was identified as a result of the study that the teachers stated that performance tasks are useful, lead the students for thinking, enable permanent learning, develop research and critical thinking skills of students and students associate the things they learnt with daily life. With regards to the problems experienced about performance tasks; it has been found out that tutors’ negative behaviours affect the students negatively, time is inadequate for assessing the tasks, improper use of internet and computer affect the students negatively, the students do not know why they do the performance tasks, thestudents complain about financial burdens of the tasks, the tasks are taken from internet as they are, without any effort, and a great deal of the tasks are done by tutors.
