Translation as an activity is mostly described as rewording the source language elements in the target setting in a way which is understandable to the target reader. The medium in this process is generally the translator himself or herself as an expert. But with the development of information & communication technologies and as a result with the new needs in this direction, advanced machine translation systems have been started to be produced. These systems are usually successful in the translation of pragmatic texts or any kind of texts which have a commercial value. This means that in this specific case, there is any more no need for translators in the translation process directly. Regarding this case, they are now needed only in the post-editorship process of raw translations which are created by machine translation systems. This means that the duty of translators change into post-editorship rather than simply translating. From this view, the study dicusses the concept of translatorship and tries to explain the journey from translatorship to post-editorship in the light of translation samples created by a machine translation system and in the specific context of pragmatic texts commonly popular in today’s globalized world.
